Do you have any questions?
Guest post by: Danielle Cook, Career Services - Lansing Campus
In an interview, the answer to this question should always be yes. Given that it’s almost always the last question your interviewer will ask, we want to help you make sure you’re ready with an educated answer. Here are three possible questions to keep in the back of your mind:
“If I started tomorrow, what would be my two most pressing priorities/ assignments?”
This question will not only show that you’re interested in the position and company but also give you a better feel for what you would be doing on a daily basis. It’s better to be informed now to make sure that this is a good fit for you.
“What are the next steps in the selection process?”
The question shows you are really interested in the position. It will also tell you the process so you’re not waiting by the phone for the next week.
“Can you clarify what you said about…?”
By requesting clarification or examples you are showing the interviewer that you have been paying attention and you truly care about the company and the position.
