Be More Productive
Whether in your job or school, it’s important to get things done! Follow these simple steps to increase your personal productivity and job performance.
1. Start with the most difficult task
Start tough projects at the beginning of the day before distractions get in your way. If you are not a morning person, identify the best time that will allow you to focus on one important task.
2. Break-up big projects and set short-term goals
By separating a larger project into many smaller projects with individual deadlines, you can feel accomplished each day and stay motivated.
3. Pay Attention
While in a meeting or class, eliminate distractions – don’t use your phone or browse the web. Actively participating in discussions will also help you to stay engaged.
4. Write Things Down
When an idea or to-do pops into your head, immediately write it down. This will allow you to put the distraction aside and stay focuses, but not forget to come back to it.
5. Take Breaks
Make time for yourself to do something you enjoy. It is important to take the time to refuel and recharge so you are ready to attack your to-do list again the next day.
